Make a timeline from your documents

How to do it

Keeping track of a paper trail? Make a Timeline reads the dates in your PDFs, like appointments, bills and letters, and lists them in order: when, who, what, and the page each one is on.

  1. Open the PDFs and choose Tools > Make a Timeline (or press Ctrl+K and type "timeline"). It starts with the tab you're in. Choose Add files… to add more.
  2. CrescentPDF reads every page, even scans, and lists each date with Who it's from, What it's about and Where it is.
  3. Click a date to see that part of the page with the date outlined, and Open page to go straight to it.
  4. Dates with a dashed orange ring are unsure. Point at one to see why, then choose It's right or fix it.
  5. Narrow it down by words, by who, or between two dates, then choose Export….
