How to do it
A scan is a picture of a page, so you can't search it or copy its text. Make Searchable reads the words on your own PC and hides searchable text underneath. The page looks exactly the same.
- Open the scanned PDF.
- Right-click a page and choose Make Searchable, or press Ctrl+K and type "make searchable".
- Choose the pages and the language, then start it. You can keep reading while it works.
- Press Ctrl+S to keep the searchable text in the file.
