Forms

Make a PDF fillable with Form Builder

How to do it

Form Builder turns any PDF into a form people can type into, in CrescentPDF or any other PDF reader. It can find the blanks for you, even on a scan.

  1. Open the PDF and choose Tools > Form Builder (or press Ctrl+K and type "form").
  2. Press Find fields for me. Its suggestions show in orange: solid when it's sure, dashed when it's not (point at one to see why). Choose Keep the sure ones, then check the rest.
  3. To add a field yourself, pick a type in the toolbar (Text, Multi-line, Checkbox, Radio, List, Date or Signature) and drag a box on the page. It snaps to the printed line.
  4. Select a field to set it up on the right: its name, Required, Read-only, a format like Phone number or Money ($), or a total that adds up other fields.
  5. Press Check the form, then Try it to fill it in the way someone else will.
  6. Press Done and save. Nothing changes in the file until you do.
